I never heard that one before, but it's a great illustration. The magnitude of what Jesus did is generally underappreciated.

From Infinite to finite.
From Omnipotent Creator, to creature.
From Omnipresent to flesh in temporal existence.
From Omniscient, to walking by faith.

Thanks for all your wonderful comments. You always encourage me.

This is such a great post! I loved all your illustrations! Have you heard the one of the "athiest" farmer whose family was praying for his salvation? Short version, he couldn't fathom why a mighty God would humble Himself and come to earth as a tiny baby, etc. Well, on Christmas Eve, the farmer's family went to church and he was out doing chores when he saw a little sparrow hopping in the snow, searching for food. He wanted to bring it in out of the elements, to the barn, and tried to coax it in in many ways, but nothing worked. He got to thinking that he wished he could turn himself into a sparrow and go out there and put the bird's fears to rest, and just at that moment the Christmas church bells rang and he realized, that was what God had done. Sent His son down in human form so that humanity could begin to understand His kingdom...

I've always loved that little story.

I liked your lottery/inheritance alliteration.
