Thanks Holly, for dropping by amidst your crazy schedule. Boy would I love to see the pyramids. You have a very interesting history! It's nice to know that I am not alone in my knowledge of actual outhouses. The game preserve I visited in South Africa was a private place called "Thorny Bush." (http://www.thornybush.co.za/) It was a highlight of my temporal experience.

And please: feel free to break into song! I love your writing, and the Spirit of the Living God is oozing from your posts. I bet your singing is wonderful. "Paint a punkin on your belly..." I'm with you, Holly.

Hello, Larry, thank you for stopping by my site and for your kind words. :)

Let's see - I can relate to a few things. My parents have a cabin that has an outhouse. The installed an indoor toilet, but after such a long time, they don't like to use it. (It uses too much water!) :) And so they continue at the ages of 70 and 83 to run outside to use the toilet, even in the winter! I know outhouses. :)

Also - I have been twice to several of the game refuges in Kenya. I've been to the Ivory Coast (Mombasa) by antique train - and it is beautiful! Seen the pyramids along the Nile.... etc. (Stop me before I break into song. :) ) Haven't been to all of the continents, though - perhaps someday!

Welcome to A Laymans Thoughts Michele! I sleep on the way to work in the morning. I leave my home at 4:15am. I have a Blackberry that can be used as a tethered modem, so I have Internet access . I read a lot, work a little, Blog sometimes, watch a movie on my iPod, listen to good sermons and teachings, or sometimes just relax on the way home.

Thanks a lot for dropping by! Check out my other site at http://www.LarryEiss.com

3 hours??? My goodness. What do you do on the train? Do they have wireless internet?
When I lived in Korea I used to have long bus rides across town (like 90 minutes) and I would usually read or just people watch, which was absolutely fascinating. What time do you leave for work?

Well, it took me a few days, but I finally got over here!

What a commute! But after living in the Hudson Valley and upstate New York for several years I can understand why! I would never want to live in Manhattan. Very interesting to see, but I've always been glad to leave. LOL

Also glad to know that I had the correct pronunciation of your name. I enjoyed my stop here!

Wow, I love this game...see I feel like I know you that much better now. 3 hours each way!?! Must be a great job...and all the continents except Antarctica, what are you waiting for? :O)

I love home-made frames, and I'm biding my time trying not to nag hubby to make me a whole bunch out of our falling-down barn-barnwood...your hobbies sound wonderful!

Thanks for participating, I really enjoyed learning more about you, and am glad I've been pronouncing your last name right!
