Before time began our Father made a decision to place anyone who believes in His son, Christ...and then the passage reaches from eternity past to eternity present in Eph 1:7, "In whom we are having redemption through His (Christ's blood), the forgiveness of sin, according to the riches of His (the Father's) grace." And eternity future in verse ten: "That in the dispensation of the fulness of times, He (the Father) might gather together in one, all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth." That whole section in Ch. 1 verses 3-14 are fascinating on eternity and the trinity...couldn't help adding my thoughts to yours...
